WINDOWS DEFENDER START STANDALONE EXE - IAN MUTCH
Assumes you have Windows Defender installed in it's default directory. It also assumes that you do not run Windows Defender in real time and that you have set the Windows Defender service to manual rather than auto. It also assumes that you have set the Automatic Updates service to manual rather than auto.
WINDOWS DEFENDER START starts the Windows Defender service and opens Windows Defender. When you close Windows Defender, its service will be closed and, if you carried out an update, the BITS service and the Automatic Updates service will be closed and both set to manual startup.
WINDOWS DEFENDER SCAN, WINDOWS DEFENDER UPDATE & SCAN, and WINDOWS DEFENDER UPDATE STANDALONE EXE'S follow the same principles as above.
